K20 Project Getting Closer

I'm getting closer. I have put 4 miles on it so far. I'm sure the neighbors love it especially with no exhaust.

Half as nice? I'm shooting for something between 1/100th and 1/50th as nice. The only things my 3/4 4x4 will have a leg up on Deans is a 68 GMC front end and a plow

Everything from the grille back will be budget monster garage

That is a sweet 71. Are you going to add the woodgrain to the side lower strips or paint the tailgate strip black? How many momths did it all take. Any before pictures? REALLY NICE!!

Thanks for all the comments. It has been a lot of work!

It will be getting stainless exhaust in the next week or so. I need to order the pipes. I already have the stainless mufflers ready to go.

The tailgate panel and side moulding will be just like it is now. I think all of the tailgate panels were woodgrain, but I could be wrong. It looks like the old one that was on the truck.

The turbine wheels were my first choice also. It just took me awhile to find this set. I have them on my blue K20 also but a slightly different design. I wish someone made good chrome or even better stainless lugnuts for these.

Jim - I can't wait to see pics! You may not want to two tone like mine with a stepside bed? How would that work on that bed? Maybe all green with a white cab top or maybe the two tones of green that I have seen around? Do you have anything off the old black truck yet?

Those are the stock mirrors. I have the same ones. The smaller sport mirrors are a PITA to see amnything behind you.
