Seat tilt or not?

Do the bench seats on the '72 C-10's tilt forward or not? If they do, where is the dadblame latch?

No, the 71-2 seats don't tilt... I'm not sure if the 67-70 seats do or not.

67-70 don't either.

Why would they need to? Gas tank is back there.

actually, some did. They were in the base models, normally in the 67/68 trucks.
But I agree not much of a point in it.

Related to this, does anyone know of a kit to modify a factory 67-72 seat for tilt? I have deleted the tank from behind my seat but retain the bench. It would be nice to access the area behind for storage. I have a bench from an '84 chevy which I could recover or canibalize but if such a kit existed it would be easier.

Yes stock seats fold forward. I don't even think they have a latch. It was before them safety laws to protect us from ourselves. There was no reason as somebody said because the gas tank is there in stock trucks. Would be a nice feature in a truck with a blazer tank.

I've seen stock seats fold forward, but it was because someone removed one bolt from each side that anchors the back to the bottom. That allows it to pivot forward on the remaining bolt.

I have a 69 and mine has levers on both sides for tilt. This is my 4th 69, but this is the only one that ever had tilt. Great view of the gas tank...LOL
