Dash Wiring ?

I'm an electrical newbie and I'm adding a Stewart Warner tach and gauges to my dash and looking for suggestions on wiring it up. So far the plan is to eliminate the printed circuit in favor of my own male/female connectors that I bought from Radio Shack. Has anyone done this and what should I know before I actually attempt this?

Re: Dash Wiring ?

Read the instructions that come with the gauges.

Re: Dash Wiring ?

Yes, I did when I initially installed the gauges, but they never worked with the printed circuit. I have since acquired a tach and I no longer have the instructions. The truck never had a tach so I don't have the right circuit anyway and I really don't feel like buying one when I can make a new connection cheaper. I also have to do a little cutting on the green backing plate (or whatever you call it) to make a hole for the tach since its a bit deep so the circuit is in the way. Any suggestions?

Go to SW web site. They should have the instructions online.
