flip kit gone way wrong!!! need help!!

i flipped a 1976 chevy 1/2 ton truck over the leafs and i can't figure out why the drivers side shock won't stop bottoming out. i used the stock shocks at first and then i when and measured and got a shorter shock. the passenger side is just fine. i think it's because of the way the original shock locations are. i have the 1/2 ton 5 leaf pac i believe. will drop shocks work or will i end up in the same spot? please give me feedback toward a remedy? thanks in advance. still love my chevy even though it rides like a brick.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

i got the shock extenders today and will be removing the bump stops and puttinh the djm bump stops in. i think those are the major issue( or at least i hope, because i've never heard of any problems like this one. i'll post pics before and after i install( hopefully after all is cured)

it was easy. i didnt have a problem at all. i just heated the rivets with a torch until they were cherry red and then used a impact chisel to knock them off. after that i used an impact punch to knock them out. it took less than 5 minutes per bump stop. organization makes it go smoothly. they came off so clean

Re: flip kit gone way wrong!!! need help!!

i guess i wont be waiting on 2 inch spindles since they don't make them. why dont they make them? i guess i have to go 2.5 spindles. 1/2 inch lower isn't going to hurt anything but the ants!
