Wheel and tire specs.

I think when somone on here posts a truck up with pics.....

....they should have to Post wheel and tire specs. Everyone always asks anyways. I think that it is the #1 question of this site. (other than "Why cant I ask WIW questions?" and not be a member. LOL

Re: Wheel and tire specs.

Good point! Maybe everybody should include wheel specs in their signature

Re: Wheel and tire specs.

There use to be a sticky thread at the top of this group showing that. I just noticed it is not there now. You might be able to dig it up with a search.

EDIT:

Found it, it got moved to the FAQ area.

Re: Wheel and tire specs.

I agree as I get the question all the time. I also think they should include which rearend you have, the narrower 67 to mid 70 or the wider 70-72. If someone likes the look on a 72 and they give 17x10 with 5 inch backspacing, it's going to look 3/4 of an inch set in for someone who has a 68 rear and they might not know that there are 2 different widths for these trucks. Not to mention they might not clear the bed on the inside. Wheels cost a lot of money and .5 to .75 of an inch can make or break a certain look or the shock when you finally get them after 8 weeks and they won't fit becuase they rub the bed.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

Re: Wheel and tire specs.

OK I am good with that. 69 c-10 2 1/2 drop spindles, 2" blocks in the rear. 225/70r15 on 8" wheel front 255/70r15 on 8 inch wheel rear. Think I am going back to a 255 on the front, after I get the backspace in about an inch. New disc brakes have the front wheels out too far for me
