You didn't give us much info to work off of. The only place I could find FBA was a 1984 six cyl truck eng.

Fulfillment by Amazon
(V = Plant, 01 = Month, 01 = Day, FBA = Engine Suffix Code) V Flint (Engine) 07 month 22 Day. The casting number and date from the back of the block would help narrow it down. I couldn't fine it but there is a lot of data to look through without the casting number or year. Cheers. Last edited by Accelo; 08-05-2022 at 01:00 AM. |

according to my book the 'FBA' suffix is for 1987 Truck 350 210hp, 700 trans, TBI, 10,20 series trucks.

Thanks! The engine is in my Dad's 1968 C10 that I found at a car show a few years ago. I bought the truck with this engine in it, the guy had replaced the original 307 with this engine. I figured it was a 350 but that was all I could tell about it. Thanks so much for your help!

It’s located behind the drivers side head. The number will help confirm the motor specs. Easy to restamp a motor. You can always trust the casting number but not the info on the pad. One more thing. Get rid of that fuel filter before it breaks and creates a towering inferno. |

Thanks, will do on the filter! I cant seem to find the number on the rear. I've tried with a mirror and my son climbed up in it and we still don't see it. I will try again. Thanks again for your help!

Anybody know when Chevrolet went to that small pad size? It looks like there's hardly room for a partial VIN.

If the suffix code stamping is correct, 1987 truck 350, the casting number could be one of the following: 14093638, 14088548
casting number is located on the left rear of the block on the bellhousing flange
