Fully optioned 67

Ok, so maybe it's not. I went back home for a long vacation and found the original glove box door for my truck. She came with a whopping two options, deluxe heater and blue vinyl trim interior. Option 4C42AA and 4614AB, I think those are the numbers/letters, kinda hard to read.

That's gotta be the shortest list of options I've seen. Congratulations.

wow, I have twice as many options as you....but they listed my color as an option.....does that really count....doesn't the truck need paint of some sort?

Re: Fully optioned 67

I don't understand the blue vinyl trim as even an option. It had a blue vinyl seat, with the metal door panels. It even only had a visor on the drivers side, I had to drill holes for the one on the passenger side.

Re: Fully optioned 67

Finally, I have more options than someone else in mine. You got Deluxe Heater, I got Heavy Duty Springs. My paint color shows up as an option (could I get that w/o paint, please? ) and also I got a "painted bumper", I'd rather have had chrome.

Mine says 'green trim':

Re: Fully optioned 67

My truck was painted white on the outside and blue on the inside. Maybe white was considered the "standard?"

A "canvas" for you to work with?

I've actually seen a few white outside/blue inside trucks.

Re: Fully optioned 67

Mine is white on the outside and blue inside. Does anyone know how close that blue is to f##d (spit) Empire Blue. I was thinking of doing a quick and dirty tractor paint job, and can get lots of the f##d color.

thanks for helping if you know.

Re: Fully optioned 67

It is odd that the heater is listed, and I'm going to guess you have an early truck, like 12 of 66 or something. (I didn't look at the sequence on your VIN)
The heater was optional before the 67 model, and in the 67 books, it shows an option for heat, but it has a line drawn through it and standard written under it.
The option for paint and int colors were to show what color it was going to be. I do think there was a 'base color' , but I have never thought of a single solid color as an option personally. (It's not even listed in options on the books)
So in all reality, you have a 0 option truck there.

The serial # matches the VIN # on my door, so this is the correct sticker for my truck, although it looks a little different that others I have seen (compare mine to shiftys and you will see mine says "serial" instead of "vin" and it lists "paint" instead of the wheel base. I don't remember where I saw it, but somewhere on or in the cab I swear I saw "November 1966." Kinda sucks knowing you have a zero options truck By the time I'm done with it, it will have many options (Currently AOD and PDB, and someday PS and AC)

I like to be different

I guess my next truck needs to be a fully optioned 72 BB Cheyenne 4x4 truck?

Doesn't "deluxe heater" go back to the 50s when they added defrost vents?
The option charts I found only listed deluxe heat, air conditioning, and roof mounted air conditioning.

Yours is set up just like mine. 1967 had some different labels than 68 and newer.

Re: Fully optioned 67

I know mine ain't a 67, but...

a pickup box floor? what? what if I didn't have that option? would my truck have had NO box floor? just a few strips of metal, no wood floor or nothin?

and a full foam seat? what if I wanted a half full foam seat??

and the paint option! well heck, no paint on that puppy would only make it shine more!

and the 4 speed transmission?? man, I hope it had SOME transmission

anyways, my half assed comic rant is off. I know some of you might at that, but I'm no standup. I like to sit down when I drive.

Re: Fully optioned 67

bed floor is a wooden floor instead of steel.
Full foam instead of springs and thin crappy padding
4 speed instead of 3 speed/column
Paint option.... more of a selection.
boundstaffpress,
interesting that yours lists posi and 3.73 twice.

Re: Fully optioned 67

yeah, I figured that much, Longhorn Man, just trying my hand at comedy (come on, give me a break here) I suppose I got two options there better than the original options (4 speed, and the seat) and the bed, I haven't really listened to you guys enough about preferences between wood and metal floors. Is there any real difference? What does everybody prefer, wood or metal?
