How do you remove the rolling windows? non power
I could just tear into it, but if things go south.... i have permanent air conditioning. hahah
so how do you pull out the side windows...non power, they are roll ups, i need to get them out and on my bench for buffing...... do the felts and tracks have to be removed? do i have to pull off the bed first kinda thing? ive searched and alls i found was on the vent windows... i dont care about them. WHO DONE IT!? |

The key to getting the roll up windows out IS the vent window assemblies.
The vent window frames have to be unbolted from the door (easiest to just remove them as an assembly for room). You have to release the roll up from its vertical tracks(channels) to get them out. Once the vent is out pull glass toward front of truck about 1 inch releasing it from the rear channel. Roll up window while guiding the top edge outside the door shell as in straight up not following the contour of the door. keep rolling till the bottom channel is visible in the window opening the slide the glass and channel assembly off the regulator rollers. Glass is free. reverse order to reassemble.
