1972 back-up light prob.
I have a '72 C-10 with std. trans. I can't figure out the wiring to activate the back-up lights. I have power to a relay under the hood, but no power to the lights. The trans. has a switch mounted on the side that is connected to this relay, but I'm at a loss to further trouble-shoot. Any help is appreciated.

The relay that you are looking at is part of the TCS system and is not part of the backup light wiring. If it is three on the tree there is a small switch on top of the column close to the floor board. If it is a four speed, then there is a switch for that on top of the transmission.

Thanks for the help ! I found the switch, which had a broken lug that mated with the shift linkage. I super-glued it and it's working great !
