Hi From Maine
I bought a 1971 GMC Longbed with a 307 that was not running. The paint is metallic root beer and gold and show ok, But the old repairs are starting to show rust bubbles and cracks. A little bit of bad everywhere. Found out the cam broke and that's why it didn't want to start, I bought a used 350 crate motor from an engine shop that pulled it to put a built one in for the customer. I got some headers and electronic ignition and a used carburator. Now it runs and drives and I could not be happier. Looking to drive it while I chip away at some interior stuff and then want to paint and lower it!! I don't want a show truck, but solid reliable truck that still turns a few heads. Looking forward to making it my own. This site inspired me to get my truck.
I have been taking lots of picture and so when the time comes I will have some before and after pictures. Thanks Jon |
