Custom Camper Emblems
Anyone know where I can purchase reproductions of these? And to think I used to shave all of these off my trucks and throw them away...LOL!

Nope...not LMC, Truck Shop or any of the other usual suspects either. This one is a mystery...must be rare.

I looked for these for 10 years. I found many used but finally a month ago, I found a NOS pair on E-Bay. I paid a lot for them but after looking so long, I was happy. I was going to rechrome some of the used ones but painting the black would be a pain. Good Luck!

GMC, Thanks...that answers my first question. I think there is a company that will rechrome them and fill all the pits in the process. I repainted mine and did not find it that difficult. I will run the old ones for now. Were the NOS items more expensive than rechroming? That will answer my second question...LOL! Third question...was the black gloss, semi-gloss or glossy?

I've never seen the 72 style for sale, either.

Yeah I went through all my catalogues too. No luck.
I had a tough go at tool box door hinges. After a four months of searching I found them here http://www.dennischevytruckparts.com/ I feel dirty, like telling someone about a fishing or hunting spot, but anything I can do to help. |

I think I paid $150.00 for the pair with one broken stud. Slightly higher than rechrome but the rechrome would still have slight imperfections due to the pits the old parts. The black seems to be semi gloss. It could have been gloss 37 years ago! I noticed more USED ones on Ebay today if you need test parts.

Yeah, these are one of the non-reproduced badges. It seams the emphasis is on 1/2t stuff. Not much for the heavy-up trucks.Demand is there now,no one has responded.Cheyenne/30 is the only 1t badges I see.Not even Custom/30.There were 10x more of these. The CustomCamper script is available. At least Golden State had them, maybe NOS.

I got one.
It's in decent shape with very few pits, but needs a repaint. I will trade it for beer. Phil
