Need some ideas and pictures
I just got this 2 owner 42000 mile truck most likely going to put LS motor and air ride system on I am struggling with color of truck and what wheels and tires to run or maybe even paint the top of cab white and add chrome and white strip in the middle I have looked on this site and have not seen any fleet sides in this color. Please post some pictures if you have any to help me visualize what this truck can look like.

Re: Need some ideas and pictures
Honestly I would leave it like that. Put the LS and have fun.
Mine has a white top and a turquoise color. But its natural patina. Oh and im going with a 06 vortec 5.3 and 4L60E. And bags. Thinking of removing all the trim and have it like yours. Factory steelies as well and coker whites. Still working onnit.

Re: Need some ideas and pictures
I am struggling with wheel and tire combination and was hoping I could find a member with this color that had it lowered with aftermarket rims that I could see I was thinking mobsteel and use the original centers or maybe just steel wheels with wide white walls or maybe even some boss wheels hopefully someone will post a picture with this dark green color it is not my favorite color but I could not pass up this truck it has zero zero rust and looks like new on the inside and underneath

Re: Need some ideas and pictures
I would leave that piece of history as it is and buy another truck to customize and ls swap
But this is me, your truck and your money

Very nice!! Man I'm not sure what I'd do with that truck. It looks so nice the way it is especially with the low mileage.

Re: Need some ideas and pictures
Well I agree with everyone else that this is such a nice clean truck, you may want to leave it as is..... but you want what you want right, and I don't blame you. Whatever you decide you can't go wrong with a truck this clean. I have not seen many green trucks this color on this forum and none this clean. We need more pics!!!!!

Interesting how some trucks just scream to be left alone.

Re: Need some ideas and pictures
Your truck. Do whatever you want. I would google "images" of say 1963 chevy truck and print copies of ones that catch your eye. Pin em on the garage wall as you go and see which ones "speak to you".
As to "leaving it alone", I couldn't. Gotta make em how YOU like. I know this is not the "popular opinion", JMO.

Re: Need some ideas and pictures
Got agree with the ones that say leave it original. Very nice truck would hate to see it changed. They are few and far between.

I have to get on the band wagon also. Why would u want to alter such a good representation of a classic? but...... your choice.

Re: Need some ideas and pictures
Ya man, don't custom that one up. If it comes to it, pull the motor/trans/gaugecluster and bag them aside. It is possible to swap in an LS motor with a carb and oldschool trans, in a way that reduces the "permanent" changes to very, very, few.
That way, you still have a clean, low mileage truck that can be put back to near stock and sold that way, or left hot rodded. It takes way more self control in the way the swap is done, but its very possible.

Re: Need some ideas and pictures
One like yours are getting harder to find in that condition. I would just do wheels and a big detail. Not many people have that color and one that is in that shape. I wish I had it!

Re: Need some ideas and pictures
I'm with everyone else...leave that one stock as it is. They're getting harder and harder to find in that shape. Find another to customize. Any engine pictures?
