Re: 1952 Chevy Suburban Build
Thanks for following along guys. I found my camera that I thought I lost in the move to Illinois so I hit the mother load for older pictures I had taken. Here are more of when I brought it home.

Re: 1952 Chevy Suburban Build
First thing I started working on was cutting out the rot I had in my floor boards and kick panel areas.

Re: 1952 Chevy Suburban Build
The other Problem areas I had for rust were the Cab Corners, Inside window channels, and inner fender areas in the rear. I cut out all that I could and welded in replacement panels. Sorry for the low quality pictures.

Re: 1952 Chevy Suburban Build
Some of you are going to hate me for this but I decided to go away from the original seats and went with buckets and rear bench out of a 2004 Avalanche. Plan is to get them reupholstered down the road. I modified a platform out of a parts cab I had and built the brackets so they are hidden under something that looks original to someone that doesn't know any better. unfourtunantely I dont have a picture of the finished project but it turned out pretty nice.

Yeah it's cool that there are some active builds awesome to see how others are approaching their builds. Mine isn't finished yet. I did the body work to the best of my ability (not that great) and left it with a neighbor in Colorado that has over 25 years in the industry. I am driving out with my trailer this weekend to grab it. Pretty excited to get it back and get back after it. |

Re: 1952 Chevy Suburban Build
Did anyone have issues with fitment of the windsheild weatherstrip? I have a few areas where the gasket is to big for the frame.

Re: 1952 Chevy Suburban Build
Finished body work on the last door. Who ever owned the door before cut a six inch hole for a speaker. I did a pretty bad job welding this so it took a lot of work to get it presentable.
