Re: Driveshaft yoke leak

There should be internal seals that stop this problem but typically more painfull to do.

Just some epoxy or quick steel over the weep hole and you should be good to go

Re: Driveshaft yoke leak

I've had the same leak for a while now..Only leaks after sitting for about week. Then it looses about a quart. The guy at the tranny shop told me to cover a small round piece of cardboard with RTV on both sides and slip it in place inside the yoke. Sounds a little ghetto to me.. Had not leaked in a long time because I have been driving it a lot, so when I put my new aluminum driveshaft in (out of a crown vic police car), I forgot all about it. Last week puddle again.

Re: Driveshaft yoke leak

I welded mine... but a good cleaning and jb weld or equivalent would also work. It's not a problem, you're just missing seals in the tail housing of the tranny, that typically go bad and are crap anyway.
