Tires won't stick in 1st gear
69 C10 long bed with 3:78 posi rear and 700r4
Engine 350 crate with e street heads, performer carb and manifold, comp cam 262 and long tube headers. Can't make tires stick in 1st even if I do a rolling start and gradual throttle. Still breaks loose when it revs up. Tires are. p255/60R15 BFG Raial TA Do ineed bigger tires or something else |

3.78 * the steep first gear in the 700 means you'll need a lot of traction to hook it up.
Does it go sideways or just spin? Posi or no posi?

I'm guessing 320 HP at the most but sure screams in 1st and 2nd. Gets rubber shifting into 2nd.

BFG radial TAs are garbage. I had some on my Chevelle and couldn't hook up at all. Look into some high performance summer tires if you don't drive in the rain.
