Questions...

This spring I will be starting on my project truck, I'll be taking my 68 C20, 70 C20 Longhorn and 71 GMC1500 and turning them into what will look like a 68 SWB C10.

Q1. If I use my 68 front clip will I need to use my 68 rad support? or can I use a 70/71? I can use my 70/71 inner fenders right?
Q2. I want to paint my truck Blue, Can you all post some pictures of stock blue colours?
Q3. I think I would like to run a white roof and white grill, where dose the white stop for the roof? (fire wall?/front window?)
Q4. Im going to be using my NV3500 5 speed with my 350, It should be easy but is there a Thread for this swap around, or dose anyone have some pointers for me?

Re: Questions...

To answer your 1st question: Yes, you'll need to use the 68'Rad Support along with the rest of the 68' clip including the Hood.

Can't help you with the other questions.

I have a 68' clip on mt 69' SWB Stepper

Good Luck

Re: Questions...

don't hurt the poor longhorn. That makes me sad.
You'll need the 67/68 rad support for the grill/fenders/hood use. The inner fenders are the same 67 - 72, gmc & Chevy, K and C series, 10 - 30... 1500 - 3500. (confused? The inner fenders will swap)
White roof would go to the chrome trim that is NOT present on either of your trucks shown, that should be in line with the bottom of the door glass. Everything above that line (including door tops) would be white, the posts up front would be white, right up to the cowl vent, which should be body color.

Re: Questions...

So if I go with a white roof I will need to buy some new trim, Where can I buy it? Whats your opinion on putting a pin stripe between the white and blue?
