71 chevy step side first build

I am building a 71 Chevy c10 step side. I picked it up in Georgia for $500 I'm planning on lowering it and puttin a LS1 engine in it. I'm 18 years old and this is my first build I'll be asking a lot of questions.Ill have pics up soon. Thanks,Cody.

I just got the cab and bed off, now I'm down to the frame. I'm having trouble posting pictures but hope to have them up tonight!

Today I got te frame cleaned up and after my new suspension kit and drop spindles come in I'll be sending it off to sand blasting and powder coating.

Thank you! And yes Iv got a lot done on it the last few days. I have the frame ready to send off for powder coating. I think I'm going to start putting my new floor pan while my frames off gettin coated.

Iv found a LS1 out of a corvette it has 45,000 miles on it very clean motor comes with wiring harness and computer for 3,000. I'm not sure if that's a good price or not. can anyone help me out?

Does anyone know if a cab from 67 Chevy c10 the same as a cab from a 71 Chevy c10? Iv found a 1967 Chevy parts truck for $400 and it would be nice to have the parts for the cab of they would work. Can someone please help me out?
