Chrome Cowl

Anyone know where a guy can get his hands on a chrome cowl??

I think one would look cool, with the orange on my truck. Would I have to have one sent off to a chrome shop, or are they possibly available from someone here??

Thanks!!

Thumbs down Chrome Cowl

Yeah...I'm with Charles. Do the whole thing. Then we can put it on a blister pack and sell it as a HotWheels.

I chipped the paint real bad installing my new stock antenna, and am too lazy to paint it again, But I am going to.

Thanks for the advice!!

Misuse of Chrome

Thanks for coming to your senses. I know it is a shame that the paint got chipped and if you hand that piece to a body shop they will likely charge you for painting like they are GOLD plating(don't go there either!) it. I'm sorry I got a little smart about the blister pack and hot wheels and all. You have a good looking truck and keep restoring.

I had a chromed cowl on my now since departed truck . It stayed there for as few days. There wasnt any glare off it . remember it is in front of the widshield so you really wouldnt get any glare. Anyway if you guys ever want to see a sweet looking bed take a look at DanoDMano's. Ive never seen a steel bed floor so straight.

i dont particularly care for the chrome cowl.. maybe if it was some kind of cover just over the holes but the whole piece is a bit too much similarly i dont care for the entire steps chromed the tops would look nice and maybe some tread material... chrome is great on a truck as long as it aint overdone
