My trucks worth a fortune....
So were on our way to Hutchinson, Ks. to some podunk bar my band got a gig at. Were driving through the town....its about 7 or so and I spot a truck that looks just like mine(cept its stock height) in a car lot. And like anyone else, I wanted a closer look. After a little "illegal espionage" I got over the fence and made my way up to the truck. First thing I noticed was the windshield...
All Options Low miles A TRUE Classic $12,000 I admit it was a clean truck, looking through the window I saw bucket seats, a tach cluster, tilt, factory radio, and what looked like new AC controls. Then I crawled under it. No major rust, lots of new suspension stuff, and no oil puddles under it...then another urge came over me. A little more "illegal espionage" lead to me popping the hood. A nasty looking straight six and NO AC....it didnt even have a power steering belt. This got me to thinking, if they get 12K out of that.....Im gonna sell my truck in that town for 45K.

lol it's amazing how many hacks there are in this country! buyer beware indeed. this actuly reminds me of a camaro i saw at chevy vette fest in chicago. the body was heavaly modified to somewhat resemble the 2009 camaro that's comming out and looked apsolutly awsome but upon looking underneith it was a rust bucket that still had drum brakes all around and it looked like a 5yr old welded the exhaust on. it was truely scary.

Man, I remember buying these trucks running for $500.00 and fixing them up wiht my dad, now Holy COW......

Man; going from Cheney to Hutch is like NOT going anywhere, I should know---I live in Lebo. The Barret & Jackson boys have made it virtually impossible to buy anything cheap anymore.

There was a '68 SWB that was very clean at a lot here for $9500. It sat for nearly a year, I don't think it ever sold. It was bone stock and looked good, but it would have taken a lot of work to make it showable.
Good news for me if I ever decide to sell, but I doubt I will any time soon. |
