i need some help
what is the purple wire on the key switch for or what it runs to. someone has cut mine and spliced in to a red wire. thanks for any help.

The purple wire goes to the starter solenoid. It energizes the solenoid to pull the drive into the flywheel & start the motor going. It may go through a neutral switch first.
