Indexing holes on lower contol arms

OK i bought new control arm shafts. and there is only one indexing hole i was under the impression there was two. my truck is a 68 c10. also how do i install these. just unscrew the caps pull out the shaft. put in the new shaft and screw the caps on and put it on and line up the indexing hole. is the hole in the front or back or both.

The hole goes to the front of the truck.
There's a good thread on installing the control arm shafts,... I'll see if I can find it tonight.
You might try using "Google" until then.

Sounds like you have the tear down and rebuild part all figured out. The indexing hole should go to the front. If you look at the mounting point where the shaft bolts up there is only one alignment dowel to line up so you cant really mess it up. Good luck with it.

do u have two thread each end on a certain amount so the bar will be center or will it only go so far for each side.

you will need to thread them on an equal amount to center the shaft - once you tear into it it will not be that hard

I can't find the thread i was looking for. Like everyone else said,... just "center" the shaft in the arm and you should be good.
