Is there such a thing...

As high back bucket seats for the 73-80 trucks? Or are they all low type buckets?

Re: Is there such a thing...

I had a friend in high school (20 yrs ago) who had 1979 GMC Sierra Classic with factory high back buckets. They do exist.

Re: Is there such a thing...

I scored a mint set, brakets and proper mounts with a mint console - but how do I know if they are not Jimmy seats?

Re: Is there such a thing...

my dad had a 79 with buckets. I don't remember a center console in that truck though. Would it have come this way?

Re: Is there such a thing...

From Jeffs site-
Seat differences
Bucket seats have always been available in Blazers (Jimmys), Suburbans, and pickup trucks...and the seats are all basically the same. GM used what are commonly referred to as "low back" bucket seats up until 1977, with "high back" seats thereafter. If your truck is a 1977 model, you could have either one, depending on your trucks build date...this was the changeover year for the different seat styles.
