How About Using Old Tractor Steering Wheels?
Has anyone ever switched their stock steering wheel for an older style?
I done some research and I think a steering wheel off of an old Ford 8N tractor should work (same bore and splines) and be flatter and bigger in diameter at the same time. (sorry about the giant image)

What year are you looking at putting it on? Maybe a 1938 but not a 1968

And I am looking for the lack of a large setback and something unique The stock rimblow has a 3-4" setback. Many older car and tractor wheels are flat

Re: How About Using Old Tractor Steering Wheels?
Unless you took the tank out, moved the seat back, and weigh under 200lbs, a bigger wheel might not be a good idea. Tractor wheels can be up to 18+" across, WAY too big in a truck.
Also, aren't alot of those old tractor wheels SOLID cast metal? A 12 lb steering wheel might be useful to deaden the feel on a tractor, but I can imagine it would be nothing but a pain on the road.

Re: How About Using Old Tractor Steering Wheels?
I'm 6'0 and 160 pounds and with a stock bench seat my original steering wheel just barely fits me nicely, any larger diameter and even I wouldn't fit. Something to keep in mind.
