Appraiser?

Does anyone know of a trusted appraiser in the phoenix area?

I am almost done with my truck, and need to get declared value on it. I am not comfortable just grabbing someone off of the net.

Thanks!

I moved to Tucson several years ago and my insurance company wanted a re-appraisal of my 67 stepside. I used Southwest Valuations in Oro Valley as they will travel to the car rather than force you to drive to them.

Whether or not you actually use an appraiser's recommendation depends upon what you wish to do. In my case the appraisal was based on "market value" and the insurance company (State Farm) would not insure to that level nor would they guarantee that any repairs would be up to the standards I used when I built the truck. Not to mention the outrageous premiums (over 700.00/year for an Occasional driver).

So, to make a long story longer I sent Grundy Worldwide photo's of the truck and a declared value I came up with by adding up all of the receipts and multiplying that number by 2.5. Grundy charges me $250.00 a year for coverage with a declared value of $65,000.

Re: Appraiser?

I sent them a message, and they have not replied yet. My truck is too tall to fit in the garage. I asked them if the portable garage it is in, qualifies as a garage.

Re: Appraiser?

Hagerty and Grundy both said I need a securable garage, or storage unit. My insurance co. has not said either way. Just need to get it appraised!
