Re: what is your thanksgiving day project
Mine is to spend time with the family. I am out at the inlaws with my wife and son (and dog). I might pull my 67 SS396 chevelle out for a run (I keep it here so it stays nice and I put less miles on it this way). I just got back from a walk with my son around the block at my inlaws and saw a great car sitting in a garage. An original 67 SHELBY GT fast back! I talked with the wife and she said it was her husbands 16th Birthday present.
I will be back home Friday and finish getting the shop cleaned up for the return of "Trazer" on Saturday from the blasters. Then after that I need to run down to the bay area to pick a new toy for me, a 63 SWB GMC that was offered to me just yesterday for a steal. Then Sunday I have not yet figured that out. Might start back on the Trazer. Kevin LFD Inc. |

Re: what is your thanksgiving day project
I got up this morning and headed into the woods to do a little bow hunting in the 18 degree F. weather. Had a shot at a really nice 9 point, but i didnt see the small twig between me and him but my arrow found it. 20 yards broadside and my arrow hit the branch and went flying into the ground behind the deer. Luckily it didnt spook him to bad and he just walked off. Im getting ready to head back out to give it another try. I did gourge myself today until i could barely walk, and get a few pics of my 72 c10 frame i just finished spraying yesterday and post those pics on my thread.

Re: what is your thanksgiving day project
Replaced the second broken motor mount. Both are now in and torqued. Fluid in the front diff. Power steering hose in and tight. Fluid in the power steering now. Scraped most of the muck off the transfer case so it can go on the workbench tomorrow for new seals, bearings, and a general inspection.
Time for dinner.. Lobster salad with a citrus tarragon dressing and grilled chilean sea bass with a lobster stock white wine cream sauce. Also, areally good chardonnay to wash it down. |

Drill new belt holes in my belt. If I keep eating like this I'm going to have extend my seat belt in the Green Machine.

Re: what is your thanksgiving day project
Go to Grandma's and eat food, get sent home with food, and work the rest of the weekend.
Plans got modified when a Subaru pulled in front of my Cobalt and I hit him with my front corner. Didn't look bad until you pop the hood and the headlight, headlight bracket, grill, bumper support and many other parts are crushed. I now have a custom bungi cord holding my headlight on. And that headlight's only 3 weeks old! (Warranty replacement). So now I get to research what I'm going to do. But I have a fridge full of food.

Eat,surf the net and eat some more. Now Fri.Mrs.P has to work and I'm off,so if the weather stays like it was today I will do some stuff in the garage and sand the inner fenderwells. If not I am also doing a redecorating project in my home office and may do some in here.Sat and Sun will be replays of Fri,though I may make a run to HF,NT,or B&N.
