Looking for feed back on a New 250 exhaust manifold
has anybody baught a new exhaust manifold for an inline 6?
i installed new exhaust on my 67 and busted the bolts on the bottom and the damper is shot. and its pitted real bad. i want it to look and perform like original. im looking at ordering the one from rockauto for $165 but i was wondering if anyone has ordered one and used it with success. do they look like originals ? other than gm numbers being missing are the castings the same? any fitment problems? and did it come with all new hardware and gaskets? i know i saw a bunch of these on ebay last year much cheaper and now there gone. thanks for any feed back john

Re: Looking for feed back on a New 250 exhaust manifold
the listing now shows it comes with all hardware and gaskets. that info wasnt there an hour ago.
and it looks like they all come with an extra set of holes for the down pipe. so you can either you a 2 bolt flange (like original on my truck) or a 3 bolt flange.

Re: Looking for feed back on a New 250 exhaust manifold
I bought one for my 68 for the same reason about 10 years ago. A salvage yard ordered it new for me from some place that he had contact with. I'm not sure what company it was but I believe I paid about $60.
Overall, it fit good but had a very slight gap that the gasket fixed. I probably should have had a machine shop true it, but so far it's worked fine like it is. |

Re: Looking for feed back on a New 250 exhaust manifold
Here I go again. Can't help it. I have a manifold off my 65 c10. From a 230. Heat valve working too.
Yours if you pay the shipping. Might even be able to mail it to you. I have langdon's headers on mine. |
