Re: 1972 Chevy Pickup Project.
I'll bet this is a Dream truck project for a lot of guys including me. Off to a great start. Similar project on the 60-66 suburban side, it might help you if you have not seen it....http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=681291

Re: 1972 Chevy Pickup Project.
Thanks I had not seen that one yet. I'll take a look at it. I can definitely use all the help I can get. I've been working on this project for about a month now I think I'm moving pretty quick.

Re: 1972 Chevy Pickup Project.
Someone else on here is doing the same thing- tahoe/pick-up combo. Can't remember his online name- he was almost done the last time I checked in. Looks like a great project!

I have seen a couple others on here Tigger that are doing the same thing but I have not seen any of them finished yet. I hope that's not a bad sign. LOL. But I am going to get this one finished.

Re: 1972 Chevy Pickup Project.
New doors and fenders look like they fit pretty well. Are you going to integrate the dash and wiring from the Tahoe, or use a stand alone harness?

Re: 1972 Chevy Pickup Project.
thanks Gr8-68.
notsolo. I am planning on using the truck dash and the tahoe wiring harness, steering column, etc. My goal is to use the tahoe heat and air also. |

Re: 1972 Chevy Pickup Project.
Question for ya,,, If your planning on running the Tahoe HVAC system and steering column,,, wouldn't you want to "mock" those things up before you go to paint? Hate to see you have to cut in to a freshly painted cab to get that stuff to fit and work.

That is for sharing your photos, especially the demolition. That's my favorite part of a project, and it's what I'm best at!

Re: 1972 Chevy Pickup Project.
Wow,, interesting solution to the problem. What's your plan for the wiper motor? Will it stay in the stock location?
