My intro. and a few things i need

I am new to this forum, as a member, I have stalked this forum for quite a long time but this is my first post. My truck is a 1963 Chevy C10 and it is a work in progress. I have owned it for a little more than a year. My wife got it for me after my last deployment as a project to restore and enjoy. One of my main issues with doing things to the truck is the fact that I work on the road 20+ days a month and when I get home I dont want to do work to the truck. I just want to hop in and drive.
So that brings me to my issues:
Does anyone here rebuild vent windows or would someone be willing to rebuild mine? The idea of spending a weekend drilling rivets and then redoing them just doesnt work for me. I also can stomach the idea of paying over $240 each vent window for new replacements so I figured I would ask.
Also I am looking to have my gauge cluster redone. Id like it painted and restored to original quality. Does anyone offer that service?
Worst that can happen is no one replies right? Well let me know. Here is a picture or two of my truck.
As I make progress I am sure I will need more help or advice so I will add to this thread as needed and I will also update it with progress information. Thanks

I don't restore the factory clusters, but I'm able to build you a custom one if you decide to go the aftermarket route.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your service

I don't know anyone off hand that does wing windows, but there are 2 forum members that rebuild gauge clusters. Those are members Tbone1964 and PGSigns.

Any idea who that guy is? I would like to just mail them off and get back a product I can install and drive with.

The one rivet on the wing windows is not bad. I can also be replaced with a #6 button head stainless steel screw with a lock nut. Then with a dremel tool trim the screw back to the nut. Paint it black when your done with a small brush and it is barely visible. I can help with the cluster if needed. Look at the ones I have in the for sale section.

Are you trying to put weatherstripping on the vent windows? I'd like to know how to do that as well. Or who.

It's more than just the weather stripping. I'd like the frame painted, weather stripping, new glass seated properly and a new knob. In the FAQ section there is a write up on how to rebuild them I just don't have the time to and I don't wanna start something else and not be able to finish it.

Welcome to the board!

For the vent windows try this member:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/member.php?u=111333

Precision Parts is a Gold Vendor on here. I believe they have done a number of vent window assemblies for other members on here.

Here is a link to a video they did on the vent windows for a 55-59 Chevy Truck.

Hope this helps.
