My 71 Chevy build

My truck started as a 71 Chevy Super Cheyenne that was purchased by my father in 72 from a guy that could not make his payments. Through out the years it was a family truck then towards the end a work truck. At least until I decided it needed a make over about 11 years ago. I disassembled the whole truck down to the frame and thats how it sat until a few weeks ago. I dont have but one before pic which I will upload later. For now I will put picks of what I am working with now and what I have done over the last few weeks.

Re: My 71 Chevy build

yours is in better shape then my 71. I am working on re-storing the 71 also. one question i have for you... (the 3rd photo) that cross member that is right in front of the rear axle.. does that support go straight across or does it have some type of a bend to it?

Re: My 71 Chevy build

If I understand the question correctly yes it does have a bend to it. I will try to take a closer pic either later this weekend or monday depending on when I go back up to the shop to work some more.

Hey Jeremy...looks like you got yourself a nice project there. I can't wait to see the finished super. What is that next to the rolling frame? Is it a 76-78 stingray?

Re: My 71 Chevy build

Yea, Its my dads 78. He had just finished painting it and drove it home to show my mom and some jackass crossed from three lanes over to take the front end out of it.

Re: My 71 Chevy build

Here are some more pics of what I am currently working with.
The grill and seat I will most likely sell as I intend to put buckets in instead. There is also a pic of the engine I will most likely be using.
