Spark Plug Wires and Looms with Headers
I could use some advise and pictures please. I recently installed headers on my BB. What have you used for plug wires and routing to keep them from burning up with the heat the headers generate? Thanks

Really nice setup. Do you remember what wires and looms they were and where you got them?

Re: Spark Plug Wires and Looms with Headers
I use ones like the attached web picture on my small block engines. Mine do not have the Chevrolet emblem, but they are sturdy and I am running MSD 8 MM wires on my plugs.

Re: Spark Plug Wires and Looms with Headers
Thanks. I'm a little concerned about clearance with the A/C on the passenger side with that style loom. I appreciate the response.

Looks great! Are you happy with the 307? I've got a 71 with the original 307 thats getting pretty tired. I'm not sure if I want to build it or just drop in a crate 350.

Re: Spark Plug Wires and Looms with Headers
I'm happy with it for now. I really don't know any better. I'm fine with it. It seem to spin the wheels pretty good. Plan on putting on a taller tire. Will have to see how it performs. I've read a few articles that get some decent power out of a 307 if you change the heads, intake, carb and some extra cam. With all that said, it might be cheaper to buy a crate 350.

Re: Spark Plug Wires and Looms with Headers
I used these: Amazon.com: Spectre Performance 18483... Had to bend them up in order to work, I liked the look though. Wires are custom length setup I cut and crimped myself. |
