That's my truck.

Took me about 8 months, but I could usually only make one trip a month to work on it.

Re: Have the wife looking - need to find....

Um - yep! as well as all the other cool projects you all have going on. I had to explain to her that although alot of us do work in the yard, under lean to's, even paint in the driveway, it's really much better to be in a building...
We have just moved into a new place with a lot of old buildings - nothing closed in though... and we have been discussing wether to build a new shop or start closing in some of the buildings..... after seeing the threads, she even went out with me and walked the property looking at the buildings... and THEN she told me that the account I use for just my paypal stuff has enough moola in it to get the parts I need to finish off my engine! She had been slipping some in occasionally as I wasn't paying attention! Not sure exactly what I've done lately but I musta been a gooood boy! and no, she doesn't have a sister!

Re: Have the wife looking - need to find....

Just one bit of humble advice....when you build your shop build it as big as you possibly can. It seems no matter how big a shop is it's never big enough! Put in electrical outlets every where! Put in lots of lighting/windows, and maybe most important have a place for the "crying chair"! That's where you go on those days that nothing wants to go right.

Re: Have the wife looking - need to find....

Not to jack the thread....

When hubby built his shop, he included a full bath, fridge, sink, microwave, satellite tv, stereo and a futon in case I got fed up with his "hi-jinks". He calls it the dog house, but I don't...it's the playhouse!! He also has a drain in the center of the shop so he can wash HIS truck when it's cold/raining outside. How bad is that?
