Hard Brake Pedal

Trying to trouble shoot my brake problem. I just replaced the rear end and put on a new master cylinder. I bled the brakes and I still don't have good brakes. The pedal is hard. You can push like hell and the brakes will stop you. I'm thinking I have to take off the booster and get it checked some where. Is there anything that I have over looked?? How do you know if the booster is bad? Is there other year trucks that I can swap it out with. My truck is 1971 3/4 ton 4x4.

Sounds like your booster is bad. check your vacuum line and make sure it's working.
Next step on the pedal and start your truck.....if it drops your pedal it good, if not it's BUTTCO.
