Re: upper rad hose
I have seen a few members use a hose from Car Quest #20607. Other parts stores use a similar numbering system for their hoses, or they may be able to crossreference that number. This hose works for a small block with the straight thermostat housing.

Re: upper rad hose
I'll chime in since I just got one of these hoses from Classic Industries. The thermostat housing side of the hose points more to the 11:00 position than a true 12:00 position that mine is. It will work, but I will have to bend the hose slightly to make it work. I've been trying to find a hose like the one I bought several years ago(from Pep Boys I think) that fits perfectly with no luck. I did look at the Gates #20827 at O'Reilly and it is very much like the one from Classic(maybe even a little closer fit).

Re: upper rad hose
thanks kberger,i'll say the car quest hose that captain recommended is a very good fit!actually perfect.i have a 283 with intake oil fill tube.t stat housing points to rad at about a 45 degree upward angle.oh and i have an rnd aluminum rad.the upper outlet and t stat housing is 1-1/2''.the car quest hose is also 1-1/2'' at both ends.i couldn't of asked for better fit....dan
