The suspense is killin' me

Just got a call from a man that wants me to come make him an offer on a truck. Says he's moving, and just needs to get it out of his yard. He says it's a '69 lwb GMC that his wife's grandfather bought new, and has been sitting up a while and won't run. Has a 350, auto, and A/C. I asked him how much, and he said "3-4 or 500 at the most. I'm going to look when I get off of work. I hope it's nice, but with my luck, it's probably junk, lol.

good find! Even if it is junk, there's probably parts you can salvage for your truck.

I went to look, and it's fairly rusty from sitting. I'm guessing that it has been sitting for 10 to 15 years. The body isn't worth much, (maybe the cab)but the interior and mechanicals are all there and in good shape. The original seat and dashpad are even good. No super hard to find stuff, but it did have the cst trim and interior, and was all original and unmolested. I'll probably make him an offer tomorrow.

No, he said that he tried to get it running, and couldn't, and didn't really know how. I could definately use some of the parts for my '70, seeing how original and untouched it is under the hood. It did have a 4 row radiator and th-400 too.
