relocating ignition?
i would like to relocate my ignition switch so that when the keys are in it they dont hang down and scratch my paint.
anyone done this, have pictres or an idea for where i could relocate it too? i do have a full center console from the dash to the back of the cab between my buket seats. (see pics in my build thread) i was thinken there or on the botton edge of the dash

Take the ignition key off of the ring. Then the rest of the keys won't be hanging down. That seems a whole lot easier that relocating.

Put a piece of tape on the dash under the key .

Build urself the little piece of metal and then glue it under the key set..

What I did on mine...
Made a duplicate. Placed it in my key chain. Used the other single key for the ignition switch. Keep my other keys in my pocket. The reason for the duplicate is in case I forget and leave the key in the ignition. Which I've done more often than I'd care to admit. |

I guess I should have mentioned. I have 3 trucks and a suv. By "mine" I meant all of them. I use a single key on all the vehicles and keep spares in my key chain. I have up to 10+ keys on my key chain/ring and it will also wear down your ignition switch with all the weight...
