Stock clock?

My Has a clock. Where these an opption in 68? Or stock? It doesnt work all the time. But it has power all the till to it. Anyone know someone that fixes them.

I guess thats my question . I dont know if they were stock or optional or if it was just stuck in there. but I have seen a few trucks with them and I would like to get it working and keep it if possible

i think maybe a clock was a dealer install option not available from the factory

i don't have pictures but the couple i've seen looked like little freestanding tachs they hed a pedistan and you had the option of mounting them on top of the dash or they had a provision of straping them to the steering column

I was also under the impression that there were no clocks available as a option. I'd be interested to see what you have also.

There were no factory installed clocks acording to the GM books.

Basically either dealers installed a clock for someone or you use a camaro era clock or a viable clock from something and put it in. The inner metal plates I would suspect had to me modified. I paid big money for my first one i thought I found back a few years...only to see Ford stamping on the back of the clock. Ouch.....strike that original theory off...my poor light pockets You can make em look good though with some mods.

This pic is of one I saw on ebay done nicley I thought.
