New guy with a 69 shortbed(pics)
Hello, I'm not only new here but new to these trucks alltogether... I just picked up a 69 shortbed chevy with a 350 and 3 on the tree.. it has a few rust spots but nothing to bad.. I got the truck for $2,200 and it drives great.. Theres a few links to it in my sig, my plans might not be the style as alot of yours but I'm hoping to learn alot of good stuff here

Thanks, yeah i jumped on it with the price he was selling for.. i aleady ordered a new tailgate..so that should clean it up a bit, the next big thing is the inside above the windshield has some rust holes... other than that its mostly solid

It runs great.. it sat for a few days here in freezing cold weather and it fired right up.... its goodwrench crate 350.. but it still has the old points distributor and a one barrel carb...lol ... But once i get the top end rebuilt Ithink it will be great

It may look like a 1bbl carb, but you probably have a 2bbl...they didn't put 1 bbl on the 350. But like Krue said, an HEI, and a 4bbl will make her seem like a whole new animal.
