scarry moment
took the new motor out for a 1/4 mile pass( its all broke in) Ran great, went through the traps(painted finish line) with the speed-o pegged..then smoke..tons of it..I cranked on the breaks and shut it down...one of the tranny coolant lines layed on the header, and pumped quarts of tranny fluid all over my new clean engine ..all i had for tools was a pocket knife ...I had an old spark plug to plug one line and i found a 1/2 inch bolt for the other..and used a dime as a screwdriver...lol..made it home safe and sound

its migshift strip at a friends farm...just for match races and tuning and stuff,,no electronics...i had the 100mph speedo pegged and then some at the end of the 1/4..it felt like a 14 second pass, maybe a hair quicker... 0-60mph with a stop watch is 4.8 seconds.. iwas at 5300 at the end of the 1/4

Fire extinguisher anyone?
I pull mine out of the house into the garage for ALL first time events with the engine. You never know about the line, pump, gasket, etc.
So far I've only needed one when I didn't have it. Go figure. Left the oil filler cap off a overhead cam engine. I was actually able to blow the fire out....about 5 times. Wrecked the vacuum lines though.
