shaved firewall....and heat?
probably a stupid question ....
i see alot of ya'll shaving the firewall. is just a regional thing and you don't need heat? ...or air for that matter? is there an trick to having a clean firewall and having heat? I'm thinking some old t'birds had electric heaters has anyone tried to make somthing like that work?

now they'll most likely have heat/ a/c, the bulky box on the firewall is replaced by a better, smaller, under dash unit...

fan motor aswell? looking at mine it seems that you could shoehorn fan and some sort of ventilation box in there. is there a late model "somthing or other that the parts that work? or is a fabrication job?

There are several aftermarket A/C companies out there that make units specifically designed for our trucks. I too shaved my firewall and will be going with either an OLD AIR unit or a VINTAGE AIR unit (Both OLD AIR and VINTAGE AIR are manufacturers of aftermarket units). I love the shaved look and hate the way the factory heater and especially the A/C looks, like luggage attached to the firewall.
