Vortec engines
Is there a difference in headers for the vortecs. Is it just the intake side that is different?

Re: Vortec engines
ok I'm about to get a set of headers now to get them ready for the new engine. I looked at a pic of a vortec and it looks the same. I just cant remember what engine had the bolt between the two middle pipes. Also jeg's don't list any differences. Just a precautionary question befor I spend $200

Re: Vortec engines
i believe that it was the 305 heads that had the 7th bolt on both sides

Re: Vortec engines
The 305 that I had in my Camaro was the same as my 350. When I Finlay blew it up and upgraded to that

Re: Vortec engines
there's certain 305 head castings that had 7 bolt holes. go to mortec.com and just look at the different casting numbers. you'd be surprised at the variety of heads that gm put out.
