PS hookup correct?
Before I hooked this thing up I researched it to make sure I had the hoses correct.....pretty sure they are, but maybe not?
I have about a quart of PS fluid in it and it still feels totally manual. I don't think I properly purged it or whatever you do to make a completely empty PS system function. I just find it hard to believe that with the amount of fluid in it, I would notice.

Re: PS hookup correct?
did you bleed the air out.?
jack the front end up so both wheels are off the ground than run it and turn the wheel all the way from bumpstop to bumpstop than chech the fluid.

Re: PS hookup correct?
It is a type 2 or something like that.....late model pump that uses an external reservoir (this one has an attached billet reservoir).
Just wanted to make sure it was hooked up correctly (pressure vs non-pressure sides) and that I purge it correctly.

Re: PS hookup correct?
Usually the fitting closest to the motor is the high pressure line and the
return line goes to the resevoir. It looks correct to me. The only thing I can think of is not purged completely or line size of high pressure line can affect it. However yours appear to be ok. I hope this helps, poco |

Re: PS hookup correct?
Thanks Poco,
I was pretty sure it was correct, but when you think you've done it all right and it doesn't work.......back to 67-72 chevytrucks dot com!! I will have to try to purge it correctly.
