Temp sensor
hey guys, what kind of temp sensor do these trucks use ? I have a mid 70's 350 in there and have not hooked up the temp sensor. Is it he kind that reads it off a sensor or the small brass tube that send fluid to the actual temp gauge ? I have a 68 .

Re: Temp sensor
The temp sending unit is electric, you can get one at any parts store.

Re: Temp sensor
Standard is an electrical sender for either the fctory gauges or the meltdown light. Should have a single dark green wire on the left head side of the engine harness.

Re: Temp sensor
Does anybody have a link to it ? The one I have now is a cheapo aftermarket one hooked up to a cheap gauge. I want to hook up the original one.
