hood hinges- new, rebuilt?

My hood on my 78 is poping a good couple of inches from being flush and its killing me. It has to be the hinges, so Im assuming I need new ones [wd40 didn't help] Where can I find new or rebuilt ones other then ebay? I need to pay with a credit card so no ebay.

Sign up with PAYPAL...almost everyone on Ebay accepts PAYPAL payments...and you can still pay with a credit card.

Did you loosen the hood hinge bolts and drop down the hinges as far as they would go? How about the rear hood adjusters atop the cowl, is it hitting those...thus not allowing to the hood to go all the way down?

I won't do paypal- too many people with hacked acounts that I know. As far as the hood hinges go- I can push the hood down flush, the rear pops back up when I take my weight off. If the hinges would stay put then the hood would be prefectly lined up. I haven't tried droping the hinges down though, never knew you could

The way I understand it is to get the back of the hood to go down farther you need to move the hinges up away from the fender towards the hood.

Tom, I really love your ultra sound. (I think I spelled that right?) Looking at it looks like you "were" born to drive.
