Yoke question
Will a TH400 yoke work for a 4L80E transmission?

Re: Yoke question
Yes, same O.D. and spline configuration, but the 4l80 can take a much longer yoke than the th400 for greater spline engagement. If you have a short (4") th400 yoke and plan on abusing it, I'ld look for a yoke from a '90-'00 3/4 or 1 ton van, they run about 6".

Re: Yoke question
I know this is an old thread but I am learning some info about the 4l80s that I think needs to be posted.
the 04+ 4l80s have a different tailshaft housing and bushing. the 'regular' yoke for the TH400/4l80 is not 'large' enough, the diameter of that yoke is too small and will not work. I have a gallon of trans fluid to prove this, as was expected based on talking to some transmission shops. They have no replacement parts for the 04 up dealing with the tailshaft bushing, they have to go to an 03 or less tailshaft housing/bushing. I am going to be looking for an 04+ yoke for a 4l80 and most of what I am finding is the older units that will not work.
