Brake Booster Bracket?

I bought a reman power brake booster and master cylinder to replace my manual set up and now I need the brackets. I was in a hurry to order a pair and bought this set from ebay -

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Tuff-...Q5fAccessories

then realized they are for 67-72 Chevy cars, not trucks.

I found an ebay seller with the right brackets -

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/POWER...Q5fAccessories

but thought I would check here first to see if there was a cheaper option out there that I wasn't aware of.

Re: Brake Booster Bracket?

I don't know if you have access to a salvage yard but I bought the whole set up for 20 buckets at a local yard, I had to pull it myself, mc, booster, and bracket...I'm using the mc and booster as a core...Plus it's always fun to ramble in a salvage yard...

Re: Brake Booster Bracket?

I've got the same issue, also looking for the bracket.
(69 c10 and trying to fit a 71 booster)
problem I have is that I live in Europe and the salvage yards here don't have much US cars (mostly old hurses..) let alone trucks

so If any body could ramble around on a yard for me, I'll pay anything reasonable

Re: Brake Booster Bracket?

Here's a link to one that's made so the booster fits closer to the firewall. I wish I'd seen this before I bought mine.

It's my understanding the column linkage for an automatic trans will not work with this bracket because it puts the brake booster too close to the firewall and the linkage hits it.
