Re: Factory buckets and installations factory only please!

That truck was on Ebay about a year ago or so. IIRC, the owner was looking for about a 20K purchase price.

I have the same interior; I have gray carpet and a gray dash pad with two-tone exterior blue paint. However, I think that center console was repainted incorrectly. I don't believe the cup holders were white (oyster). I just don't ever recall my Dads seats ever being that white even new. Wow! I think I'll tone it down when I get them recovered.

Re: Factory buckets and installations factory only please!

Did it sell? To me it would be worth 20K. You can not buy a new one for that and it would turn a lot more heads plus nice for taking to shows.

Also looks like it is a 4X4. Did not know you could get a black truck with red and white interior. Looks sharp.

Re: Factory buckets and installations factory only please!

Also, under the door (door sill) that did not come with chrome. Someone put a little more shine into the truck. But nothing wrong with that. Beautiful

86SWB the door sills seem to be factory to me, I just installed my intertior and my parts came out of GM plastic.

Re: Factory buckets and installations factory only please!

I just picked up a pair of blue low back buckets and a console from a 73 with 80,00 miles on it. Very nice shape. Got them off of CL. a bit spendy, but worth it to me. I will be listing my 88-91 suburban buckets and console soon. I will be subscribing first.

Re: Factory buckets and installations factory only please!

Here is an old shot of mine. Of course it's in a million pieces now, but it shows the interior in its original (pristine, LOL) condition. I'm putting everything back to original color.

That one has the white cup holders too.

So what colors were available along with the white seats and door panels? Red and gray have both been posted here, and I have also seen black before. Were there any others?

Re: Factory buckets and installations factory only please!

I dont mean to hijack the thrad, but i dont know if anyone has noticed but the console sits higher in 4wd trucks than 2wd. i am working on a little 2wd-4wd project and i was wonering what the factory used to raise the rear of the console to make it level with the front, i know i can just make a little spacer but i was curious to see what the factory did

2wd floor pan, the front of the console sits on the cross support

4wd floor pan, the front of the console bolts to the little ridge with 2 dimples in in
