shaving handles
well i just finished shaving my handles now i need a kit to open em im lookin for a kit that has an alarm and will unlock the doors and pop em open too im not sure what i got into but i dont have any more handles so i need to finish it up now anyone know of any good kits please let me know....Steve

i have a kit from, http://www.customclassic.com but i haven't installed it yet. it looks like a good kit from the parts and instructions. the price is very affordable as well. you could look at autoloc as well, they work nice but kinda pricey.

I've installed the A1 kit that 'my new 72' shows above. So far it works good, but I'm still testing. I installed the solenoid directly below the latch, so there's not much leverage there.
I still haven't found a good spot for the poppers. They have a 1" X 1.25" plate on them and it doesn't look like they'll fit in the door jamb, except at the bottom. But then they would be popping on the bottom edge of the door, which isn't that strong to begin with. Anyone have any suggestions on where to put those poppers? I was thinking about on the hinge side of the door??? But the door might be too heavy to pop from there.

Did you have to pull the door apart or can you do this through the existing inspection holes?

ive got mine set up the same way as nosto using 45# silenoids. so far no problem. pops them open great. earl jr. you have to pull the latch out of the door if thats what your wondering..theres no way to do it in the door because of all the hook up you need. i also had to notch my latch some so the cable will stay in place. theres not a whole lot to it other than some time,

I saw one at a show , that had carpet on the door bottoms (like '72 s) and the popper was in the door, and contacted the jam, I had to ask were it was, because it was barely noticable..., hope this helps.

My poppers are on the rocker panel. Only place we could find to mount them. They pop the door just enough to stick a finger in and pull the door open.
Used an Autoloc 50lb kit. Is junk. Burned one solenoid up in 2 months - the pass side and I rarely open that side. One remote included with kit refused to program - they wouldn't take it back. The poppers they sent are crap. Came apart after 10 uses!!! Used the shells of theirs to build some good ones. SC

If you are looking for an alarm kit, don't get clifford. I will come out sometimes and it won't turn off. I have to open my door and turn it off manually witht the valet code while my alarm is blaring. It is horrible to have to do that at 6 in the morning.
