Tilt Steering ??????
This is just for discussion on a 71 C 10 tilt wheel steering column.
I have been looking at my manual's the past few days and ran across this in my 71 Manual. This is a blow up of the parts list of a tilt column out of the manual. There is no mention of the spring are the turn signal canceling cam in this parts list that I can see. Am I missing something? Per these 2 topic's there should be both. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=544819 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=515103

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

Re: Tilt Steering ??????
My guess would be it is just part of a different sub-assembly in the book. Mine is out in the shop or I would thumb through it.

Re: Tilt Steering ??????
I'm gone for 2 weeks maybe more and didn't bring the manual's with me. I looked through it and this was the only drawing I saw. I took the pictures before I left.

I don't have my manual in the house either. Could the cancel cam be a part of the steering wheel group? EDIT: This is from the Assembly Manual. LockDoc

It's definitely there in that picture Doc! I just wonder why it's not in the manual since all the other major parts are. I just bought the Chevy/GMC assembly manual.

Re: Tilt Steering ??????
The springs on the TS switch? Available aftermarket but I don't think GM ever serviced them separately.
