Man those look great! I don't think there's any way I'm going to dump money into getting my originals worked on with that's provided new now.

Are all the bed parts (front bed panel, all bed cross sills and reinforcement strip) from LMC? Will you be using a reproduction tail gate from them as well? How about the left front fender, how is the quality and fit? I will also assume it is from LMC?

Re: New 1960-66 swb fleetside bed kits!
None of these parts came from LMC. These are parts we use on all of our shop builds that we just started selling to the public. We are using one of our aftermarket Chevrolet tailgates. I installed the tailgate yesterday and it bolted right up without any problems. I will post pictures tomorrow. The fender is one of our fenders as well. If you have any questions give us a call at the shop.

Re: New 1960-66 swb fleetside bed kits!
well I don't know it all but it confirms what I have ben saying all along most of it all comes from the same supplier you don't have a 20 companies making fenders and bedsides but you should pull the other guys label before taking pictures LOL

Re: New 1960-66 swb fleetside bed kits!
If you just want to rant about suppliers and who does or does not make this part or that part. Why don't you start your own thread with your opinions. DeWayne Morgan at Nsane Hot Rodz is a stand up guy that does some amazing work and your comments about "busted" and what he should or should not do are unfair.

I think everyone who has spent any time looking into these trucks at all knows that there are only a few suppliers for sheet metal. Maybe we can take this as testimony that the parts fit well instead of trying to call someone out on what appears to be a helpful thread. |

How well do those fenders fit? All of the fenders I have seen don't look very good at the front, where the grill surround is spot welded in.

I did not mean to ruffle so many feathers I just got a kick out of the LMC labels if I needed it i would be glad to buy them from a member of site I don't care whos label is on it an did not men to imply that something shady was going on I was just poling your chain over the labels

Besides the front, could you get a pic or two showing how the fenders mate up to the rockers?

Re: New 1960-66 swb fleetside bed kits!
Here are a few pics of the '65 we are finishing. The cab and front sheet metal were painted by another shop then sent to us to finish the truck with a new bed and final assembly. The front sheet metal on this truck was scuffed and painted with zero bodywork.

2 minutes of crimping that pinchweld with a pair of pliers makes them look much better

Re: New 1960-66 swb fleetside bed kits!
Personally, I don't care for LMC that much. Since nsanehotrods put these parts on his truck and customers trucks, posts them for all of us to see, I would be way more willing to order from him than LMC because he shows and knows what fits and works on these trucks. He has my respect because of this and not to mention, he is selling this stuff for cheaper than anyone else around. When I get the $ ill buy my new tailgate from him period.
Thanks nsane!

Re: New 1960-66 swb fleetside bed kits!
Just curious: does your shop build other makes and models, or strictly '60-'66 Chevy trucks?

Re: New 1960-66 swb fleetside bed kits!
We build whatever the customer wants. For example right now we have a 1957 Bel Air Convertible factory fuel injection car, 1965 Ford Falcon, 1968 C10, and a 1958 GMC we are building. The trucks seem to be the most popular right now. If I can help you with anything let me know.
