Power brakes conversion

I have a 71 c10 and want to put power brakes on it. There is a 71 c20 on the parts board and I was going to buy the hardware for my truck. I just checked on Discount Auto parts' website and the mc and booster part #'s are different for 1/2 ton trucks vs 3/4 ton. Does anyone know if I can put the 3/4 ton bracket, booster and mc on my truck without a problem?

Thanks!

Re: Power brakes conversion

I put 3/4 ton booster set ups on 1/2 tons all the time. It can't hurt to have extra beefy brakes. I wouldn't put 1/2 ton on a 3/4 ton truck. As long as you have disc/drum on both trucks, you are good to go.
